Wrist Cutting Syndrome
Ah Ah Today too I woke again
Ah Ah Standing in the listless afternoon sun How sad
Ah Ah It's not like I want to die I want to disappear
Ah Ah Won't anybody save me?
My wrist I cut cut cut cut
The faded dirty dirty me
I won't ask anyone to love me
Please notice this pain I haven't done anything bad
Please notice this pain Touch the scars gently, trace them
Just notice
Ah Ah There is no one more unfortunate than me
There is also no one who understood this
My wrist I cut cut cut cut
With the chipped dirty dirty cutter
I want to completely destroy everything
Please notice this pain I haven't done anything bad
Please notice this pain Touch the scars gently, trace them
Just notice
This is bad this is bad Let's tell the teacher
This is bad this is bad It's not my fault
Where and how did it all go wrong?
It's my fault No no no
Please notice this pain I haven't done anything bad
Please notice this pain Touch the scars gently
But
I hate every- everyone (But) I want you to treat me gently none the less
I hate that part of myself as well But it's not like I want to die
I just want to disappear
Notes:
-
Title - Tekubi Jishou Shoukougun / Wrist Cutting Syndrome - "Jishou" means "self hurt", which would technically result in the title translating to "Wrist Self Hurt Syndrome"
- Dare mo tasukete kure wa shinai no / Won't anybody save me? - The "no" at the end might be either questioning or asserting. The translation could both be "Won't anybody save me" as well as "No one will save me". I decided on the first option because of the feelings of guilt that are expressed later in the song.
- Ikenai n da ikenai n da / This is bad this is bad - "Ikenai n da" holds the nuance that someone should not do something. As far as translations go, "this is bad", "this shouldn't be", "this is wrong" would work.
- Chigau / No - "Chigau" officially means "wrong", reflecting the denial or rejection of a previous statement.
- Sono kuse yasashiku shite hoshii no / (But) I want you to treat me gently none the less - Not sure about this translation as I also interpret the line as a desire for someone to make the speaker become more gentle in regards to their feelings of dislike towards everyone.
