Requesting Translations

Please keep to the following request rules:
  • Please posts requests to this post (or via e-mail).
  • I'll reply to the request when I've seen it - no reply means I haven't seen it yet.
  • There is a maximum of two requests at the same time per person. Please stick to that maximum. You can re-request once I'm done translating.
  • I reserve the right to refuse requests (though I only plan to do so in limited cases); I'll let you know if and why I refuse.
  • By default I tend to stick closely to the Japanese when I translate lyrics, while translating more freely with texts. This is deliberate. If you want a particular type of translation, please specify this. 
  • At the moment, translations are free. If you have a bigger project or want to hire me, please contact me through e-mail and we can work something out.
    • Paid requests are not posted online unless the requester specifies otherwise.
    • As an indication, simple requests are at the moment somewhere between the five and ten dollars. I want to keep things fair and doable, so this is only an indication. We can work things out per mail.
      • Of course, donations are welcome as well!


Details regarding requesting text translations:
  • Text length: Up to 500 characters (for the moment, may change in the future)
  • Preferably no academic texts, but I may make exceptions depending on the topic (so just request away - I'll tell you if I'll do it)
  • Short texts can be posted in the request, for longer texts please link me to where I can find the text or send it through e-mail.
  • In case the text is a magazine scan, you can either link or e-mail me the scan.
  • Optional: Please give one or two lines about what kind of text it is / where you found it


Details I need in case of Lyrics:
  • Song title (in Japanese)
  • Artist name
  • The lyrics in Kanji  OR  a scan with the lyrics in Kanji
  • Optional: In case of an anime song / character song: Title of anime and/or character name
  • Optional: A download link or a link to a streaming site where I can listen to the song (needed for proper romaji set)

    Hello.
    I found your site through a link on Nyaa.
    I was wondering if you could help us translating a couple of songs.
    The show is called Shomin Sample.

    I have two problems, though.
    I have the romaji lyrics for the OP but no kanji.
    In regards the ED I don't have any lyrics, no romaji nor kanji.

    So it might be a little too much, and if you can't or don't want to bother with it, it's okay.
    It'll be nice if you can help me, though.
