(Tahrongi)

Singer, Lyrics, Music : Machigerita

The comment on the original Niconico video was:

"From my head, ivy sprouts and, plants, grO, GroW..."
A pleasant story of a young Tahrongi boy from whose head ivy grows.
Until about the day before yesterday I have been levelling. Mostly with Pygmaioi and CanyonRarab.
What I'm talking about has no relation to FFXI. Sorry.

歌詞 (Japanese lyrics here) ・ Romaji ・ English Translation

TARONGI
Song: Machigerita

Mebuita atama kara zururi to nobiru tsuta ga muragari
Tada kisei sarete iku boku no kuchi kara nenshi.

Mishimishi, eda ga sodatsu.
Bichabicha, koborete iku.
Namanurui yasashisa de.

TARONGI.

Yugande torokete iru mabuta kara haiete iku midori.
Nodo ga kawakeba sugu ni jouro kara.

Mou boku no te wa ugokanai.

Takusan ochite kuru sa.
Minotta kajitsu ga suteki.
Namagusai niyoi da ne.

TARONGI.

Shioreteku noumiso ga mushikui ni natte ana darake.
Afuredasu ujimushi to yutaka na shokutaku wo kakonde furan.

Gunnyari egao de, boku dake no karada wa kusatta.
Nodo ga kawakeba sugu ni jouro kara.

Shinitai noni shinenakatta.

Tahrongi
Song: Machigerita

Gathering ivy that swingingly grows from my budded head.
Sticky threads come from my mouth as I am being parasited from.

Crackingly, branches grow.
Splashingly, it overflows.
With a half-hearted tenderness.

Tahrongi.

Greens that grow from slanted, melting eyelids.
When I grow thirsty, immediately from a watering can [I get water].

My hands no longer move.

A lot will come falling.
The ripened fruits are lovely.
What a bloody smell.

Tahrongi.

My withering brain is full of holes, having become bug food.
A decomposition, surrounding the rich dining table with the overflowing maggots

With a limp smile, my body rotted away.
When I grow thirsty, immediately from a watering can [I get water].

Even though I wanted to do, I could not.

Notes:
  • For the title I stuck with the romanization Machigerita used for his Youtube video.
  1. "Namanurui" means both something along the lines of "lukewarm" as well as "half-hearted".
  2. "Namagusai" means something like "raw fish" or "raw meat". Something raw that had been alive. Hence "bloody".
  3. This sentence had me thinking for a moment or two. The nuance I felt was "Sitting around the richly made dining table, together with the maggots that are overflowing" (maybe overflowing -from- the dining table)
  4. What I translated as "my body" holds the nuance "the body that is mine alone".
